We stopped overnight in San Francisco on our way to Nebraska. The room was big with a separate living room, bedroom and relatively large bathroom. The furnishing was modern and clean. The room had a pleasant and clean smell. We especially liked the free breakfast with your choice of made to order omelette or eggs and the free newspaper. The shuttle was on time.

The Embassy Suites Hotel is beautifully located on the Pacific Ocean and on a lagoon. It has a beautiful green courtyard and the interior looks like a cruise ship. The breakfast buffet was big, as there are many people to be served in this hotel. It was purely American. At a separate buffet, individual American food could be ordered. The suites are spacious and well arranged. Connection to the international airport and to the city of Bulingame perfectly by shuttles. At the Bay Trail you can go for a long walk. The view of the arriving and departing planes is unique.
We came with our children for the pool, among other things. But it was very dirty, because many people used it and some of them went swimming in complete everyday clothes. A complaint at the reception did not help, they explained us the cultural differences. In the beautiful hotel lobby, there were repeatedely some bigger groups that emptied pizza boxes in swimming clothes. In the evenings, there was almost regularly a loud party, as a part of the restaurant was to rent. Hardly free breakfast places because of the many people.

The staff were awesome. The breakfast was delicious and satisfactory with an omelette station and cooked-to-order omelettes, plus munchies. The room was immaculate and absolutely perfect, it felt like I was at home. The hotel was close to restaurants, the waterfront, and walking areas.

The staff were the friendliest I have met at a hotel in the past 3 years. Everyone was courteous: but more than that, they wanted to know what else could be done that would make things work better/easier/etc. So... great people with the right attitude. A hotel in a fantastic location with fresh air right beside the water.
Like virtually all embassy Suites, the lighting in the living room portion of the suite is too dim... better task lighting for reading and for working at the desk is needed. The new bulbs are too weak, even after they have warmed up... but more importantly, task lighting needs to be able to be focused onto the different tasks guests may have on the desk or settee. A good sleeping area with good light and bathroom was clean, functional and everything worked.
